Express Entry is the new system that Canada uses to manage immigration applications from the following:
Is Express Entry your BEST OPTION ?
The first step to determine your eligibility to enter the Express Entry Pool is to take our FREE ASSESSMENT here. Our regulated immigration consultants will assess your work experience, educational level and language proficiency to determine whether you are eligible under one of the three economic classes and meet the requirements to be an Express Entry candidate.
In order to qualify, you must have at least 12 months of full-time (at least 30 hours/week), or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience in at least one of the following:
- managerial jobs (NOC skill level 0)
- professional jobs (NOC skill type A)
- technical jobs and skilled trades (NOC skill type B)
All applicants are required to take an English or French language test with an accredited organization before creating an Express Entry Profile. The official language test results will determine whether you meet the minimum language threshold to qualify under one of the three economic classes.
You can take any of the following tests approved by ICCRC:
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
- CELPIP (Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program)
Language test results must not be more than 2 years old on the day you submit your application to be considered valid.
You must have a Canadian secondary or post-secondary certificate/ diploma OR a completed foreign credential with an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) issued by an approved IRCC agency.
Here’s a list of IRCC’s designated organizations for ECAs:
- Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
- International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
- World Education Services
- International Qualifications Assessment Service
- International Credential Evaluation Service
- Medical Council of Canada (professional body for Doctors)
- Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists)
For applicants with foreign credentials, the ECA must be less than 5 years old on the date the application is submitted.
If you meet these minimum requirements, you will be placed in a pool of candidates from which the IRCC, provinces/territories, and even employers can choose potential immigrants from.
Express Entry uses the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) to rank all candidates in the Express Entry pool. The CRS is used to determine who will be issued an ITA or Invitation to Apply in every Express Entry draw, that the IRCC conducts periodically.
Those who receive an ITA must submit an Application for Permanent Residence within 60 days of receiving an invitation. IRCC aims to process these applications in six months.
